October General Membership and Training Meeting Recap

At this month’s General Membership and Training meeting Judy Kishel, sustainer and former Junior League of Saint Paul spoke about her experience and the “domino effect of saying ‘yes’”. Some highlights of Judy’s 32 year career with the League include learning how to plan large events on the education committee, chairing the Children’s Hospital Ball committee, the many training opportunities, serving on the board for the Association of Junior League International and most of all the discovering the importance of the friendships that she made over the years through the League. Judy also shared her talent for needlepoint with the presentation of the President’s pillow to former JLSP president Ginger Overbye.

At the GMTM League members were also honored for their generous financial donations to the League by Judy Kishel, Liz Boyd and Tracey Tipler, chairs of The Centennial committee. They presented beautiful Junior League scarves to these members as a thank you for their contribution.

Lastly, Loralee DiLorenzo, Junior League of Saint Paul shared hand-made cards from the children at the recreational centers in Saint Paul that had participated in the recent St. Paul Plays event. These letters included such members as:

· “Thank you game people”
· “Thank you guys for the games you played with me”
· “Thank you for coming to our Rec center”

Please join us at next month’s GMTM meeting at the Lexington on November 11th.
